Hello, welcome to our website! I was born on a cow/calf ranch in Southern Idaho where I grew up with working Australian Shepherds. They were essential to my parents' cattle operation and the dogs worked for a living. My first experience with dachshunds were thanks to my grandma. She owned a shaded red miniature dachshund. He was a quirky, funny little fellow -- very different than the protective, serious dogs I grew up around.

It was not until many years later we acquired our first miniature dachshund. At the time, we worked on a large cattle ranch in South Dakota. Poncho and Dally were raised in the vastness of the Black Hills. They loved riding on the four-wheeler with us in their backpacks as we checked cattle water and fence lines. They are accustomed to goats, cows, horses, cats, and chickens. When most people think of an "adventure companion canine", I imagine a miniature dachshund does not come to mind. But these dogs are great companions for almost anyone -- including the rural family and the adventure enthusiast. They are curious, mischievous, playful, and extremely loyal.

We currently live in the beautiful Bitterroot Valley of Montana, nestled between the Bitterroot and Sapphire mountain ranges. Our longhaired miniature dachshunds are AKC registered. Our goals are to breed long-haired miniature dachshunds with easy-going temperaments and sound structure. Unlike many breeders, we breed for these qualities over color. There are very few breeders in the north west and we would like to introduce miniature dachshunds to the area and make this great breed of dog more easily accessible to the rural folk of  the northwest. We are a small kennel breeder and raise only one or two litters per year. This ensures the litter we do have are socialized very well and our mother dogs have the time to simply be companions for the majority of the year.
